In order to expand the frontiers of human habitation here on Earth and to enable humans to venture safely beyond our home planet, new knowledge and new technologies are required. Focused research, coupled with our past experience in space, under the sea, and in other harsh and remote environments on Earth, will allow us to design and develop advanced habitation systems for humans living in isolated and extreme environments in the future.

Habitation 2006 will offer a forum for scientists and engineers from around the world involved in all aspects of such research and technology development to present their results and to exchange information with each other.

"Habitation 2006" is open to all interested participants from any nation and from all organizations, including academic, government, not-for-profit, and industry.

The conference will be held at the Rosen Plaza Hotel in Orlando, Florida, February 5-8, 2006.
